Ferrero Rocher | Personification #1 (Fiction)

Writer: Alexandra YeohAlexandra Yeoh

In a white room, decorated by only a centerpiece on the wall letting in a glimpse of the world outside,

Lies the Eighth Wonder of the World.

Its golden cover, carefully creased and molded to the spherical, immaculate gem that is in it and placed in a blanket bath, made of cinnamon-brown fluff.

Its title spelled out so clearly and pronounced on a golden-white plaque.

Ferrero Rocher. An undeniable queen of her race, an absolute master of human warfare.

As they fight to peer through the tiny gap in the room, she sheds her cover, bearing her jewels for all to see.

Their doubts, fears and expectations, suddenly reduced to nothing, but temptation, hunger, lust…

They grapple and wrestle each other, doing anything to see more of her.

She snickers, as she discards every last bit of their self-preservation.

She whispers provocatively, “You want me. Need me.”

As they crawl closer, begging to have a piece of her,

Their restraint is zeroed to ashes and the thin air around them.

As they devour the room and bare their teeth, she does nothing.

Moves not. Fears not.

But smiles, knowing that she’s made them nothing but vile creatures.

And when their wretched souls gnaw into her once pristine flesh, they have only but moments to shriek before it’s too late.

She has colonized their minds. The minds that were once filled with love, joy and humanity… wiped. Clean.

And now, only one thing remains in their greatest desires…

Her.
